Upgrade from SAP NetWeaver 7.0 to 7.5 – What needs to be specifically considered regarding Java developments?

Maintenance for the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 AS Java release ends on 12/31/2017. After this date, SAP will no longer provide any enhancements and fixes for security vulnerabilities for the affected release. Customers who are still running SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (PI) with Release 7.0 should plan a migration to a current release at an early stage.

Upgrading to the latest version 7.5 can be worthwhile in many ways. New functionalities such as improved performance, a new development environment, better monitoring, or access to ready-made standard interfaces can provide significant added value.
